Your files

Files you drop into SqueezeFiles are processed by code running in your own browser: pdf-lib and pdf.js for PDFs, ffmpeg.wasm for video and audio, fflate for ZIPs. They are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. When you close the tab, they're gone from memory.

Settings saved on your device

We remember your last PDF and video settings in your browser's localStorage so the tools open the way you left them. Nothing identifying is stored and it never leaves your device.

The AI advisor

The optional settings advisor on the home page sends only the text you type, plus a short description of the file type and size if you've dropped one, to an AI model via Vercel AI Gateway. Your file is never sent. Don't type personal information into it. Requests are rate-limited per IP address, and we don't store them.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that counts page views and referrers without tracking you across sites.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses of requests) for security and operations.
